Dog rescue is a sad and dark place but as a rescuer regardless of all the horrible things you see... the abuse, the neglect, the death, the ones you can't help, the mean and cruel people... you deal with it for the dogs. You put on a happy face and you deal. This blog is to help one dog rescuer deal and hopefully show other rescuers they are not alone, even though it feels like that most of the time.

2 more to go
Took in a few new dogs over the last few days which puts the total number of dogs rescued to 698. 2 more dogs till I reach 700 dogs rescued!!!!
OK, my favs, only "knowing" them from these photos are the first fuzzy one and the last smiling one :). Yesterday at Petco, I saw a rather plump JRT being hauled around by his two very young owners. He had a great attitude, going with them whither they went, meeting other dogs with nary a care. Fat JRT seems an oxymoron as they are so energetic. Lovely lovely newbies!
